Indian and African leaders have agreed to cooperate in the banking sector and take measures to boost trade, aviation and energy sectors in the continent. At the end of their two day high-level talks, the two sides agreed to encourage the opening of branches of Indian banks in Africa and African banks in India to participate in the growing financial flows between Africa and India. The summit, attended by 15 African leaders and the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, also resolved that Africa and India reiterated the mutual desire to expand economic cooperation and trade and investment linkages between them.
